Step # 1

Here is our Jetta Upper Sport Grille Kit available in silver or black finishes.
Step # 2

Here is our project 2001 Vw Jetta in need of some front end restyling.
Step # 3

Start by removing the hood release lever.
Step # 4

Remove upper grille clips by gently prying the grille top.
Step # 5

Now the stock grille comes off the car.
Step # 6

Remove the VW grille emblem.
Step # 7

Now we need to separate the stock grille from the housing. Using a plyier remove the locking tabs on the backside of the grille as shown.
Step # 8

Now the stock grille can be separated from the housing base.
Step # 9

The Stock grille base will be utilized on the vehicle along with the GrillCraft Grille.
Step # 10

Install grille base onto vehicle this will help us alin the GrillCraft Grille screw hole locations.
Step # 11

Install mounting clips supplied onto mounting tabs and then while holding grille firmly in place install mounting screws from the underside.Cut the plastic tabs off.
Step # 12

Install the Sport Grille and press firmly against the grille housing as shown before marking side tab screw hole location.
Step # 13

Using a sharp scribe mark the side bracket screw location.
Step # 14

Drill 3/16 hole for screws.
Step # 15

Now the bumper cover needs to be removed unfasten torx screws.
Step # 16

Remove upper torx screws.
Step # 17

Remove the torx head screws in the fender well that secure the bumper cover.
Step # 18

Remove vent grilles these vent simply clip off no tools needed.
Step # 19

Remove the torx head bolts securing the bumper thru vent opening.
Step # 20

Now the bumper will simply slide off the vehicle.
Step # 21

Install the grille side screws.
Step # 22

With a scribe mark the center tab screw location.
Step # 23

Drill center screw location.
Step # 24

Install grille screws with speed nuts and fasten.
Step # 25

Wow what a difference.
Step # 26

Great styling with added protection.
