Fitting instructions for standard shift knob
1. Remove the original shift knob.
2. File any protrusions off to make the gear lever shaft cylindrical.
3. Insert the threaded ring onto the gear lever.
4. Measure the diameter of the gear lever.
5. Insert the corresponding adaptor.
6. Insert the screws into the lateral holes of the shift knob: use long screws
for gear levers with a diameter of 8/10 mm and short screws for gear leers
with a higher diameter.
7. Insert the shift knob on the lever pushing it down to the stop.
8. Pushing constantly on the shift knob tighten the three lateral screws uniformly
to ensure its perfect centering.
9. Screw the threaded ring onto the shift knob.
- Check periodically the tightness of the screws to be sure that the
shift knob is always firmly fixed to the gear lever. If the fixing has
slightly loosened then retighten.

Fitting instructions for shift knobs with reverse lift system
1. Remove the original shift knob.
Take care not to loose or to damage the spring usually placed between the original
shift knob and the reverse lift system.
2. File any protrusions off to make the gear lever shaft cylindrical.
3. Check the diameter of the lever and choose the correct adaptor in the kit.
4. Insert the appropriate adaptor into the shift knob.
5. Insert the screw into the lateral hole and tighten it until it touches the
adaptor.
6. Insert again the original spring usually placed, where applicable, between
the shift knob and the reverse lift system.
7. Insert the shift knob on the lever pushing it down to the stop.
8. Tighten the lateral screw, pushing constantly on the shift knob.
9. Check that the reverse lift system slides inside the shift knob.
- Check periodically the tightness of the screws to be sure that the
shift knob is always firmly fixed to the gear lever. If the fixing has
slightly loosened then retighten. |

Instructions for inserting/replacing the battery
The electronic shift knob requires the use of a 3V-160
mAh DL1/3N or CR1/3N-type battery. To insert the battery (or to replace
a dead battery),
unscrew the "A" upper cover of the knob (the part with holes)
and remove it. Insure that also the "B" button is removed
and the "C" spring remains in its seat. Carefully remove
the "D" circuit to prevent damaging it. The battery housing
is on the rear of the circuit: insert (or replace) the battery, respecting
the polarities indicated on the circuit (see Fig "E").
Re-insert the circuit in its original position.
Screw the upper cover back into place, ensuring that the "C" spring
and the "B" button remain in their original position.
Operation of the Shift Knob
Once the battery has been inserted, by pressing the "B" upper
button once the shift knob light starts to flash.
By pressing the button a second time, the shift knob flashes differently.
By pressing the button a third time, the knob light stays on.
By pressing the button a fourth time, the knob light turns off.
If the shift knob is left on for more than 30 minutes, it turns off automatically.
By pressing the "B" upper button, the shift knob returns to the
program in use. |

Use only the batteries specified in the instructions. Do not recharge batteries.
Avoid release to the environment and do not dispose of batteries as household
waste.
To dispose of the batteries, please comply with the applicable regulations
in your area of residence.
Do not invert battery polarity. Do not short circuit the battery.
Any substance leaking from the battery may be dangerous for human health or
damage the product. In case of release of any substance from the battery, avoid
contact with the skin and the eyes.
